Is 7× compression really lossless?

We describe Jetraw as “better-than-lossless” because it combines the storage efficiency of lossy formats with the reliability of lossless compression. Before compression, Jetraw applies sensor-aware image preparation using an embedded noise model. Sensor noise is intelligently optimized based on the camera’s physical characteristics, while the image data itself is compressed and decompressed losslessly. This approach delivers industry-leading compression ratios without compromising the integrity or scientific value of the data.

Where does my data actually live?

Your data remains in the storage systems you choose. Jetraw does not provide storage infrastructure. Instead, it integrates with your existing cloud, on-premises, or hybrid storage environment and manages compression within those systems.

What does Dotphoton have access to?

Dotphoton does not have access to your stored data. Data privacy, security, and access controls remain entirely under the management of your organization and your selected storage providers.

Do I need to change my storage infrastructure?

No. Jetraw is designed to work seamlessly with your existing storage environment. It acts as a layer between data-generating devices and storage systems, reducing storage requirements and accelerating data transfers without requiring infrastructure changes.

How does Jetraw handle sensors that haven’t been calibrated?

Jetraw achieves its highest compression performance by incorporating sensor-specific calibration into the compression process. If your sensor has not yet been calibrated, Dotphoton can evaluate sample data to determine compatibility. In many cases, support for new sensor models can be added quickly upon request.

Can I test Jetraw on my own data before committing?

Yes. Dotphoton can evaluate your sample datasets and demonstrate expected compression ratios, transfer speed improvements, and workflow integration using your actual data. This allows you to quantify the benefits and validate performance within your specific imaging workflow before making a commitment.
